As the first quarter of 2021 wraps up, we've seen some interesting trends in the Pinball/Brick Breaker category of mobile games in the United Kingdom. Data from Sensor Tower offers us a glimpse into how the top games in this genre have fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Starting with Bricks Ball Crusher, which saw a slight decrease in downloads from 22K in the last week of December to 10K by the end of March. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, peaking at 283K in the first week of January and then gradually declining to 247K by the end of the quarter. Revenues also saw a downward trend, starting at around $21K and dropping to $17K.

Puzzle1Studio,inc.’s Brick Out - Shoot the ball experienced a decrease in downloads from 14K in late December to roughly 7K by March end. The weekly active users saw a decrease from 87K to 57K in the same period. Revenue for the game also saw a decline, starting the quarter at approximately $12K and ending at around $6K.

Breaker Fun, despite being a newer entrant, released by AMAZBIT, showed an increase in downloads, from about 7K in the last week of December to over 15K by March end. Weekly active users saw an upward trend too, starting at 16K and rising to 26K. Revenue also increased, starting at a modest $396 and reaching $1K by the end of Q1.

Voodoo’s Snake VS Block witnessed a decline in downloads, from 5K to just under 2K, with weekly active users decreasing from 92K to 59K. The revenue remained quite low throughout the quarter, ending at just $47.

Lastly, Endless Balls 3D by ThinkCube Inc. saw a sharp decrease in downloads from 4K at the start of the quarter to below 1K by March end. The weekly active users also saw a significant decrease from 7K to 3K. However, the revenue remained fairly stable, fluctuating between $548 and $240 throughout the quarter.
